Add-ons for Umbraco

EvolveCMS Marketplace

The EvolveCMS Marketplace is our collection of add-ons for Umbraco: small, well-scoped extensions that solve a problem we kept running into at multiple clients. Instead of rebuilding the same custom work over and over, we turn it into a package.

The marketplace is a work in progress. What you see below is what exists today — more is on the way. Is your site running on Umbraco and is something missing? Let us know: chances are you're not the only one.

Structured Data

Available for Umbraco

Search engines and AI assistants don't read your page the way a visitor does. They look for structured data: a machine-readable description of what's on the page. Without that markup, Google has to guess what an article is, who the author is and where your company is based — and you miss out on rich results in search and get picked up less well by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini.

This package generates that structured data automatically from your existing content, per page type. An article is recognised as an article, an organisation page as an organisation, a product page as a product. You set it up once and from then on it just happens: when the content changes, the schema changes with it.

The real win is in what you no longer have to do. Maintaining schema.org by hand is exactly the kind of work that goes well for the first month and then quietly falls apart.

FAQ Manager

Available for Umbraco

On most sites, frequently asked questions are scattered across separate pages. The result is predictable: the same question gets three slightly different answers in three places, and after a change in your services none of the three is right anymore.

The FAQ Manager brings all questions together in a single library, organised by theme. From that library you place questions on any page where they belong — hand-picked or as a full overview with filtering and search. You maintain the answer in one place and it updates everywhere.

An added benefit: a question-and-answer structure is exactly the format in which AI assistants cite content. A well-maintained FAQ is therefore also one of the cheapest ways to become findable for the questions people actually ask.

AI Translation

Available for Umbraco

Until recently, a multilingual site meant: export your content, send it to a translation agency, wait, and import the result again. Per page, per language. That works for a yearly update, but not for a site that changes weekly — so the other languages fall behind the primary one.

This package brings translation into the backoffice itself. Right-click a page, pick a target language, tick the fields that should be included. You see the translation next to the original, and only when you click apply does it land in the target language. The machine proposes, the editor decides — and that is exactly why it works in an organisation where nobody speaks every language.

The same button generates spoken audio per language, which ends up in Umbraco as a regular media file. Useful for guided tours, accessibility, or anyone who prefers listening over reading.

Translation and voice-over both run through external AI services, and you can choose which one per feature. That is deliberate: those services move fast and you don't want to be locked into whichever vendor happened to be best at build time. We handle the integration and the keys — usage is included in your support plan, so there's no separate bill per translated page.

What it doesn't do: jargon and proper names remain human work, and you wouldn't push legal copy through it unchecked. That's what the review step is for.

B2B Tracker

Available

In B2B, the vast majority of your visitors leave no trace at all: no form, no download, no contact request. Your analytics show visitor numbers, but not who came by.

The B2B Tracker uses a tracking script to identify which companies visit your pages. You then attach a lead score that fits your business: which industries, which company sizes and which visiting behaviour matter is up to you.

That gives you two things. You see which companies are showing interest without ever reaching out, so sales can follow up in a targeted way. And you see whether you are reaching your target audience at all — a campaign that drives lots of traffic from the wrong sector looks good in visitor numbers and isn't.

Visual Editor

In beta

The Umbraco backoffice is powerful but abstract: you fill in fields and only see the result after publishing. For editors who aren't in the CMS every day, that is the biggest barrier there is.

With the Visual Editor you edit the page on a live view: add, drag, duplicate and remove blocks, and change text, images and links right where they are. Saving and publishing happens from that same screen. For logged-in editors there will also be a button on the site itself to edit the page you're looking at.

The Visual Editor is still in beta and not yet generally available. Want to look over our shoulder or join a pilot? Get in touch.

Frequently asked questions

Our collection of add-ons for Umbraco: well-scoped extensions that solve a problem we kept running into at multiple clients. Instead of rebuilding the same custom work over and over, we turn it into a reusable package.

The marketplace is a work in progress; more add-ons are coming.

They are built for modern Umbraco versions. Whether an add-on fits your site depends on your version and how your site is put together. If you're on an end-of-life version, an upgrade is usually the first step — see the page on how long your Umbraco version will remain supported.

Tell us what you're running and we'll tell you.

That differs per add-on and depends on the size of your site and whether you're already a client. Get in touch for a quote.

No. The add-ons are built for Umbraco, not just for sites we built ourselves. We do take a quick look beforehand to make sure your site is a good fit.

We deliberately don't put a date on that. The Visual Editor is in beta and is being tested before we make it widely available. Want to join a pilot? Get in touch.

AI assistants cite content that is machine-readable and well structured. Structured data literally tells such a system what's on your page; a question-and-answer structure matches the way people ask questions.

It's no guarantee you'll be cited, but without that structure the odds are considerably worse.
